Affordable Care Act Workshops Available

Albany, GA

Southwest Georgia residents have the opportunity to learn more about the Affordable Care Act (ACA) and receive assistance with online enrollment in a health insurance plan during free healthcare assistance workshops. These free workshops will be facilitated by Phoebe Putney Health System in partnership with Seedco, the Structured Employment Economic Development Corporation. During the workshops, individuals and small business owners will receive information and assistance with applying for health insurance through the marketplace exchanges created under the ACA.

Certified health navigators will help attendees evaluate their eligibility, inform them of available subsidies, compare options to identify the plan that best meets their health care needs and fits their budget, and provide assistance with using the Health System’s computers to enroll in one of the new marketplace exchange insurance plans. Navigators will be available to meet with attendees during a set schedule of walk-in hours.
